Landscaping Projects

This was the front yard of a company that built disability housing. Located on the hot, busy and noisy Payenham Road, we used paving and soft plantings to create a welcoming space, and a private courtyard for their indoor/outdoor function space. For a better look click here.

I used quite a classic, formal design to suit the house frontage, complemented by some soft garden lighting and required minimal maintenance by the use of synthetic lawn and resilient plants. For a closer look click here

Myrtle Bank - Back Yard

The client was installing a pool but she wasn't sure of what to do with the rest of the yard. We created a balanced interface between decking and lawn, and included some features along northern boundary. For more info click here

I provide planting plans or a design service which helps the client visualise what their project will look like once the landscape is built and the plants are mature. It also helps when planning, scoping and costing the project so all parties know what is included. For examples of our designs, click here.

Payenham Back Yard

A small, L-shaped yard, we enabled a smooth transition from the newly-renovated inside to outside. A variety of features along the boundaries and large format materials made the space feel larger than it was before the project. For more photos click here

Stepney Display Home - Front & Back

Directly in front of a shopping centre, the first step was to create a sound and visual barrier with the masonry fence. Recycled timber was used to connect the fence structure to the house, while a small lawn, paving, planting and a water feature transformed it to be more of a tranquil space to sit, play and enjoy.

St Peters Front Yard

Here the client wanted a contemporary, dramatic design incorporating a secluded sitting area which was screened from the street with the louver style fence slats. Natural lawn and sandstone helped to keep the yard cooler than concrete. For more images click here.

School Yard in Walkerville

This play area had a surface which was mostly dirt because of all the wear and tear, and the retainer walls and steps were rotted wooden sleepers presenting safety concerns. We used natural sandstone products for the walls and capping, and the rubber soft fall and synthetic lawn was fit-for-purpose and would be shaded in the long term by the large trees we planted in the space

School Quadrangle - Walkerville

We delivered a wide variety of projects for this school - all with resounding success. This courtyard / quadrangle was transformed into an ineteresting space for students to play and socialise during their breaks. We retained the red bricks in situ, and painted any bitumen that was left in place, while introducing cooler materials such as sandstone and trees for summer shade. For more photos click here

Ingle Farm Disability Housing Development

We landscaped 26 new accessible (disability) housing properties. Budget, safety and low maintenance were top of the priorities. Click here to see more action photos of the project and how paved borders can be so effective in lowering lawn maintenance.
