This is an example where we renovated the back yard at the same time as the house. We had to work together with the builder and the client to ensure the project met expectations in time and quality.

Levels & Set-Out

During the preparation phase, setting out the design layout and levels needs to be exact, especially when working with governing heights of house floor and pool coping levels.

Construction

Building of walls and other structures usually takes the most time and money per square metre in a project.

Materials & Lighting

I provided a modern design for this client, with a tropical planting palette. The use of decking and lawn made for great bare-foot leisure time in and out of the pool.

Transition

We made a seamless transition from indoors to outdoors. Use of the glass fencing provided uninterrupted views of the pool and garden areas. We included a sunken fire pit area beyond the end of the decking in this photo.
