Master Planning

Lightsview is a high density development in north-eastern metro Adelaide commonly referred to as 'Lego Land'. However, there was excellent planning done for development-scale stormwater management

Detention for Flood Mitigation

Sunken areas we see as parks and reserves also function of detention basins during high flow events, reducing pressure on downstream stormwater infrastructure.

Biofiltration

Multiple WSUD measures were installed including constructed wetlands (pictured here and above), and a chain of raingardens and swales.

Artificial Lake

To improve amenity an artificial lake was installed which also serves a stormwater function - slowing the flow.

Amenity

Constructed wetlands, when designed well, provide an opportunity for the community to have a place to relax and enjoy the outdoors, while providing critical biofiltration and volume reduction targets
